About Laurel Hildebrandt

Abbotsford and Fraser Valley counsellor Laurel Hildebrandt is passionate about people, and it shows!

Whether she is counselling, conducting workshops, speaking at conferences or retreats, writing or producing dramatic presentations, Laurel finds ways to invest in others.

She has taught for over a decade at various colleges in the Fraser Valley and has a Masters of Theological Studies Counselling degree (1995).

Laurel has also been featured on “Connecting Points,” a Canadian national radio program from “Family Life Network”.

When she’s not counselling, writing or speaking, Laurel enjoys spending time with her husband Glen and their two boys, and with her extended family and friends.

She enjoys outdoor activities and is crazy about horses!

About Val Hoock

Val Hoock is working on her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Trinity Western University. She is doing her internship with and is under the supervision of Laurel Hildebrandt as of May 8, 2018.

Her gentle spirit and empathic presence will help provide a safe environment for you to move towards healing and wholeness.

Val’s passion is to help individuals, couples and families discover, embrace, and live out their God-given potential. She views relational or emotional pain as a signal for the need for help, forgiveness and or healing.

Val would be privileged to walk with you through whatever challenge or distress you are encountering.

Val has experience and training in Levelling Prayer, OEI (level 1), Satir Transformational Therapy, Genesis Addictions Counselling.

She has many years experience working in crisis situations, counselling, case management, brain injury and developmental disabilities.
